Pretty & Well-Proportioned Lips

Fuller lips can enhance the natural beauty of your face and give you a more youthful, vibrant appearance. For those with facial asymmetry, a lip flip in Austin at SDBotox can also balance out your facial features and improve the overall harmony of your face. Our Advanced Injectors use BOTOX to subtly volumize the lips, making you feel more confident and attractive.

What is a Lip Flip?

A BOTOX Lip Flip involves injecting small amounts of BOTOX into the upper lip muscles to relax them. This allows the upper lip to roll slightly upward, creating the illusion of a fuller top lip and more pronounced lips overall. The Lip Flip is non-invasive and typically takes only a few minutes to complete. Unlike lip fillers, the Lip Flip does not add volume to the lips; however, it can be performed in conjunction with lip filler if desired.

Why Choose a Lip Flip Over Fillers?

The choice between a Lip Flip and lip filler depends on your aesthetic goals and personal preference. A Lip Flip is ideal for those who would like a subtle enhancement to their lips and prefer to avoid adding volume. However, if you wish for a more significant increase in lip volume or you want to address lip lines or wrinkles, lip fillers may be a better option. The first step in understanding which option is best for you is to come in for a consultation with one of SDBotox’s aesthetic experts.

No Downtime Needed

Recovery from a Lip Flip is usually minimal and does not require any time away from work or social life. In fact, some patients schedule their sessions over their lunch break. It is normal to experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, but these typically subside within a few days. Some patients report feeling slightly numb or tingly immediately after the procedure, but this sensation should go away within a few hours.

Patients are advised to avoid touching or rubbing their lips for at least 24 hours after the procedure to prevent the BOTOX from spreading to other areas. Patients can resume normal activities immediately after the procedure, but it's recommended to avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may increase blood flow to the lips for at least 24 hours.

Stunning, Natural-Looking Lips

After a Lip Flip, patients can expect their top lip to be slightly more pronounced and turned up, giving the illusion of a fuller lip. The results of a Lip Flip are subtle and look realistic, as the procedure is designed to enhance the existing shape and structure of the lips. The lips will not appear too inflated or swollen, as can sometimes happen with lip filler injections. Though you will see a change immediately, it can take up to two weeks for peak results to fully develop. This is because the BOTOX needs time to take effect.
