Dysport contains a numbing agent in its formula, but a topical anesthetic can also be applied upon patient request. Finally, Dysport is carefully injected into the target area using a thin needle, and the area is massaged to ensure that the product spreads evenly.
Dysport treatments do not require downtime, but some patients experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising near the injection site. These minor side effects are usually gone by the next day. Patients are advised to avoid direct sun exposure, always being sure to wear full-coverage hats and medical-grade sunscreen when venturing outside.
